YoungGuns would like to congratulate Rickard Villard and Johann Holmstrom from Lowe Bindfors, Sweden for winning the GameBoy SP Creative brief. Their idea "Prison" was selected from over 600 entries from 48 countries around the globe by the YoungGuns 2004 jury chaired by Alex Bogusky (Crispin, Porter & Bogusky) amongst some stiff competition. The guys won US$1,000, a Gameboy SP and their work (right) published in the 2004 YoungGuns Annual. Their work will also be displayed as part of the YG 2004 Winners & Finalists traveling exhibition that will be working its way across the globe from Australia to America this year. So, check out when it will be near you, and come and see the best young, global creative talent. Highly recommended: (their work will be up shortly) Oxygen Tent Todd Cornelius & Julie Nikolic BBDO Canada Escape Dudu Marques & Lewis Tauffer DDB Brazil Tiananmen Square Rajesh Kulkami & Avinash Sampath Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai The YG creative briefs are a chance to sharpen your portfolio and career. YG were the first award to offer a live 'Creative Brief'. For young talent we understand the importance of being able to stretch your mind creatively, to work with a different client, to be challenged and finally to have a real piece to add to your portfolio. Our creative briefs have been posted by Nintendo, QANTAS and New Scientist, very different clients and very different challenges. It is this variance that the YG Creative Brief will continue to offer and why it is of real value, so look out for the new ones in 2005. |
